WHO ARE YOU?  (AN INTRODUCTION TO MBTI)

The group The Who asked a simple question, “Who are you?  Who, who, who who?”  (I will pause while you sing it for a minute. Are you back?)

It is a legitimate question, isn’t it?  Who are you as you relate to the people around you?  Who are you when no one is watching?  Are you a thinker?  Are you a teller? Maybe you are a toucher?  Finally, some of you are talkers.

I would like to introduce you to a long-time friend of mine.  The MBTI assessment.  Here is a description from this organization:

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment delivers enduring and invaluable insight into your personality preferences. Based on sound psychological theory and backed by more than 70 years of research, it’s the world’s best-known and most widely used personality assessment.

The MBTI assessment is used by millions of people worldwide every year because it provides a simple, positive foundation for personal development and self-awareness. It also provides a common language for appreciating differences.

The MBTI assessment will help you get to know yourself better, enhance your interpersonal skills, have better relationships with family, friends, and coworkers, and make better choices in your life. It will help you become the best version of yourself you can be.

Are you an extrovert or an introvert?  How do you take in information?  Gain insights such as these and many others through MBTI.

You will address two basic questions.  Are you an up or down person?  Up people are project oriented, and task centered.  Down people are people centered.  The second question is are you Left or Right.  Left people are more discussion oriented.  Right people are more goal oriented.

If you are interested in learning more reach out to me be email drmikefriesz@sbcglobal.net or call me 816.550.2702.  I can collaborate with you or your organization to present the MBTI.

Next week’s blog will give you an opportunity to take part in a unique opportunity to discover your strengths from your own living room.
